Posted on October 31, 2020October 31, 2020 By Crazy Hot No Comments on XCOM: Chimera Squad Verge Guide – How to Play, Abilities, Tips

Verge in XCOM: Chimera Squad is a Sectoid Envoy who primarily relies on his psionics and mind-controlling enemies. Arguably one of the strongest agents in the entirety of the game, Verge excels at disabling enemies and manipulating them into attacking their own.

He can also send enemies into his Neural Network which, in turn, provides him with increased stats such as accuracy, critical hit chance, and aim. In this guide, we will go over some of Verge’s best builds, abilities, and general tips to help you master him in XCOM: Chimera Squad.

XCOM: Chimera Squad Verge

Before we begin, it is a good idea to have an understanding of how Verge’s abilities work in the game and how they synergize with his Neural Network.

Verge Abilities

In this section of the guide, we’ll go over all of Verge’s abilities in XCOM: Chimera Squad.

Abilities How to Unlock Effects
Neural Network – Each enemy in the Neural Network provides Verge with +10 accuracy.
Stupor – Verge stuns enemies for an action and adds them to the Neural Network. It doesn’t work on enemies already in the Neural Network.
Battle Madness – Verge is able to mind-control enemies, tricking them into attacking their allies and adding them in the Neural Network. Doesn’t work on enemies already in the Neural Network.
Levitation Deputy Agent It lifts enemies in the air and removes their cover bonuses.
Crowdsource Field Agent Each enemy in the Neural Network gives Verge increased aim and critical chance.
Collar Field Agent Enemies in the Neural Network cannot die and are knocked unconscious instead.
Mindflay Senior Agent It lets Verge deal mind damage to all the enemies in the Neural Network.

Verge Tips and Tricks

Thanks to his telekinesis, Verge can control the field like no other. He cannot only trick enemies into attacking their own but also whip them out of cover to let your allies freely deal damage. However, one important thing to keep in mind is that Verge is on the squishier side of the agents. Therefore, if somebody gets a jump on him, he will most likely die.

Keeping this in mind, it is a good idea to have him protected with some sort of a tank – Cherub immediately comes to mind with his kinetic shield.
