Blueblood in XCOM: Chimera Squad is a human gunslinger who is capable of precision shooting and hitting multiple targets at the same time. He manages to achieve this with his trusted sidearm, the Lancer Pistol, which is capable of ignoring enemy cover bonuses and line-of-sight penalties. In this guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about how to play as Blueblood in XCOM: Chimera Squad.

Just like other agents in the game, it is a good idea to start with how Blueblood’s abilities work in the game and how you can synergize them with other agents in your build.Blueblood Abilities

The following is a list of all the abilities at Blueblood’s disposal:

Abilities How to Unlock Effects
Deadeye – Blueblood takes a shot with a -15% Aim penalty for a +50% damage boost.
Desperado – Standard pistol fire and Deadeye cost an action and do not automatically end the turn if Blueblood has actions remaining.
Lancer Shot Deputy Agent Blueblood fires his Lancer Pistol at a target, ignoring all cover bonuses. Works in Beach Mode only.
Warm Welcome Field Agent The first shot in each clip Disorientates the target.
Ever Vigilant Field Agent Blueblood automatically activates Overwatch if the last action of their turn is spent moving. Includes abilities that can provide movement, such as Subdue or Stabilize.
Phase Lance Special Agent Blueblood fires the Lancer Pistol in a straight line blast. The shot ignores line of sight and is unaffected by cover bonuses. 3 turn cooldown.

Blueblood Tips and Tricks

As you might have guessed by now, Blueblood is all about dealing high damage, therefore, it will always bode well for you if you can keep him safe or buff him even further. When it comes to agents who can buff/protect him the best, agents such as Cherub and Terminal immediately come to mind.

There is, to be honest, not a lot to be said when it comes to using Blueblood effectively. He is your go-to high damage dealing guy that you should keep safe. That’s pretty much all!
