Destiny 2 Prophecy Dungeon Guide: Dark And Light Mote Mechanic Explained

Posted on November 12, 2020November 12, 2020 By Crazy Hot No Comments on Destiny 2 Prophecy Dungeon Guide: Dark And Light Mote Mechanic Explained

Destiny 2 season 11 is out now and there is the new Prophecy dungeon that you can check out. The new dungeon is like gambit mode. You need to pick up modes and deposit them but there is a small catch. In this Destiny 2 Prophecy Dungeon guide, we are going to go over the mechanic of the dark and light mote.

In order to start the dungeon, click on the dungeon icon on the left-hand side of the map at the tower (where the drifter is).

Destiny 2 Prophecy Dungeon Dark And Light Mote Mechanic Explained

The dungeon has a single mechanic that you need to keep in mind. Match Dark with Dark and Light with Light. When you start the dungeon, you will find three tunnels. A knight is going to spawn in each of these tunnels. Kill the knights to drop the motes.

The motes can be Dark motes or light motes. You need to pick up the motes and once you have enough, you will no longer be able to use your weapons. Your character will have the mote in its hands. Once that happens, you need to deposit these motes.

At the end of the first room, you will find two beams. A Dark beam and a Light beam. The Dark motes go in the Dark beam and the Light motes go into the Light beam. If you do not match Dark with Dark and Light with Light then you will die instantly.

Repeat this process and the door at the end of the room is going to open. This is the main mechanic of the Prophecy Dungeon. Just match Dark motes with the Dark beams and the Light motes with the Light beams.

The Destiny 2 Prophecy Dungeon is pretty challenging and the recommended power level is 1040 so getting right into it might not be the best idea. Grind your way up to 1040 and you can check it out then.

In other news, Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 2 will run at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5. The developer has also confirmed that the Vault of Glass Raid is coming to Destiny 2
